Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, assessing patient needs and determining appropriate interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
  • Participate in the triage of patients, prioritizing care based on medical need.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department or similar setting.
  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
