Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work on a night shift schedule and be expected to adapt to varying staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an emergency department setting.
• Collaborate with medical staff and support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in continuous assessment and delivery of nursing care for patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of emergency nursing protocols.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.

Scheduling Details

• Shift: Night shift; 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• Requirement to work weekends with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs.
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
• Every other holiday commitment is required.
• Holidays around Labor Day may not be approved for time off.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license, with the ability to submit with a pending Virginia license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma center or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma center, including pediatric experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC. TNCC can be pending but must be obtained prior to starting.
• Must be able to approve a maximum of 40 hours for time off.
