Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day shifts, approximately 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, typically Friday and Saturday
• Additional Scheduling: Call and holiday rotation; availability to work two of the three holidays during the assignment is required
• Work Setting: On-site Emergency Room unit
• Schedule Requests: Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Connecticut
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale credentials
• Strong emergency assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work day shifts, rotating weekends, call, holidays, and additional hours when needed to support unit coverage

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergent, urgent, and complex medical conditions
• Perform rapid emergency assessments, monitor patient status, and identify changes requiring immediate intervention
• Administer medications and treatments, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate timely patient care
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, efficient emergency and trauma care
• Document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly
• Apply emergency, trauma, stroke, and cardiac care principles in a high-acuity Emergency Room environment
• Provide compassionate communication and education to patients and families during stressful situations
• Support the Psych Hold area when needed and participate in unit coverage rotations
