Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• AHA PALS or ENPC required
• TNCC required, or proof of class registration with application date
• NRP required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfort working in a rural or critical access emergency setting
• Ability to provide complete work history and explain employment gaps over 90 days
• Reliable transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit access

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn to geriatric
• Perform triage using the ESI scale and prioritize care based on patient acuity
• Administer IVs, drips, and infusions, and assist with procedural sedation as needed
• Obtain and interpret EKGs and support emergency stabilization efforts
• Assist with restraint application, patient transports, and ambulance transfer coordination when needed
• Support care for a wide variety of emergency diagnoses in a 10-14 bed Emergency Department
• Collaborate with RNs, ED techs, providers, and support staff to maintain smooth patient flow
• Provide precepting or charge support when needed, based on experience and unit needs
• Participate in holiday coverage and scheduling flexibility to support patient care
• Contribute to a team-focused environment that values responsiveness, adaptability, and patient-centered care
