Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. This role involves providing urgent care to patients experiencing medical emergencies or injuries that require immediate attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on severity of condition.
• Utilize computerized charting systems for patient documentation and care management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide support in a busy Level 1 trauma setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of Emergency Room nursing experience is required.
• Must be triage trained with the ability to manage critical situations effectively.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA are required.
• Valid nursing license in the state of practice is mandatory.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.

Work Schedule

This position offers 12-hour night shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend and two holiday shifts annually. Candidates should be aware that excessive time off, especially during holiday periods, will not be considered.

Candidates must have been separated from prior employment in the region for at least 6 months to be eligible for this position.
