Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Room team in an acute-care setting. The ideal candidate should have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Position Details

  • Department: Nursing
  • Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
  • Care Setting: Acute Care
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Shift Time:7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • Guaranteed Hours:48 hours/week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Orientation: 6 hours

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of Emergency Room/ED nursing experience
  • Active RN License: Required; license accepted for submission
  • BSN: Not required
  • BLS Certification: Required
  • ACLS: Required
  • PALS: Required
  • TNCC: Required
  • Strong emergency nursing assessment and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
  • Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care according to patient acuity.
  • Monitor patients closely and recognize changes in clinical condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide timely documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered emergency care.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced ER/ED RN with 3+ years of emergency nursing experience who is confident managing a wide range of acute and emergent conditions. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to remain effective in a fast-paced environment are essential.
