Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in Renton, Washington. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ER team manages a high volume of critically and non-critically ill patients, including trauma, stroke, sepsis, behavioral health, and respiratory diseases, with opportunities for flexible scheduling and professional growth.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); education requirements include a valid nursing license; 2+ years of ER experience, 1+ year of trauma experience, and prior travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system, proficiency with ventilators (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.), and ability to perform ABGs and breathing treatments.
- Additional Information: The ER features a separate triage area with competency testing, long-hold management by ER nurses, and a secure psych/seclusion room with 24/7 monitoring. The unit operates with multidisciplinary staff including physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and technical personnel. The medical center serves over 600,000 patients annually and offers a variety of amenities and recreational activities nearby.
