Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to provide care to a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced emergency department.

Patient population includes:

• General emergency cases
• Stroke patients
• Pediatric patients
• Geriatric patients
• Psychiatric patients

The department sees approximately 220–250 patients daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with a variety of emergency conditions.
• Perform patient assessments, IV insertion, and ongoing monitoring.
• Manage patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support safe patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Pediatric experience
• Strong IV insertion skills
• Patient care management experience
• Ability to provide hands-on clinical care and treat patients onsite

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS
• LA Fire Card

Preferred Certifications

• CEN
• CPEN
• ENPC
• TNCC

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a rhythm test with a minimum score of 80%.
• A maximum of three attempts are permitted.
• Orientation may occur across different shifts based on preceptor availability, regardless of the assigned shift.
