Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a busy, high-acuity urban trauma center averaging more than 200 patient visits per day. Nurses care for adult and pediatric emergency, trauma, stroke, STEMI, burn, and other critically ill patients
.
Non-Negotiable Experience Requirements
Candidates must have one of the following:
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience at a Level I Trauma Center, or
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience at a Level II Trauma Center
The qualifying trauma-level experience must be clearly documented on the resume.
Preferred Experience
- High-volume Emergency Department experience
- Trauma and pediatric emergency experience
- Experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill patients
- Experience in an ED seeing 200 or more patients per day
Required Credentials
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
NIHSS may be pending at submission but must be completed before the assignment begins.
Facility Capabilities
- Level I Trauma and Burn Center
- STEMI receiving center
- Primary Stroke Center
- Regional referral hospital
- Level II Stroke Center designation through Missouri DHSS
Scheduling Requirements
- 36- or 48-hour guarantee must be selected at submission
- 13- or 26-week contract must be selected at submission
- Weekends required based on facility needs
- Block scheduling is not available
- Night-shift travelers complete orientation on day shift and must be available for the entire orientation week
Requested Time Off
- RTO is not approved during the first week
- Approved RTO must be made up at the end of the assignment
- Only one holiday RTO request may be submitted per assignment
