Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position requires a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing quality patient care.

Unit Description

• 65-Bed Emergency Department with a pod-based structure.
• Features a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area.

Position Details

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Nursing.
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4.
• Patient Population: All age groups.
• Average Daily Census: Approximately 230 visits.
• EMR System: EPIC – ASAP.
• Floating Requirements: May be required to float to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and Acute Medical Unit (ED Psych OBs).
• Shift Rotations: Night shifts only with the potential for rotating into day shifts when requested (Day Rotations: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a).

Required Skill Sets

• General emergency nursing skills:
• • Patient assessment and documentation.
  • IV initiation and phlebotomy.
  • EKG and cardiac monitoring.
  • Point of care testing and splinting.
  • Critical thinking and patient education.

Certifications Required

• AHA Certified Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are strongly preferred.
