Job Summary:
The Nursing Professional Development Specialist I (NPDP I) specializing in Nurse Education is based in Pleasanton, California. This role involves supporting nursing staff through education, onboarding, competency management, and professional role development to enhance clinical practices and promote continuous learning within the healthcare organization.

Job Details:

  • Location: Pleasanton, California
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited university or Masters in Nursing with coursework in curriculum development, adult learning theory, learning needs assessment, and learning outcome measurement from an accredited college or university; four (4) years of progressively responsible nursing experience, including at least one year as a nurse educator or equivalent

  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The NPDP I develops, coordinates, and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and healthcare personnel. They assess, measure, and support staff competency, address deficiencies, and design curricula that incorporate evidence-based practices. The NPDP I collaborates with leadership on staff development initiatives and promotes a culture of inquiry, professional growth, and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and staff performance.
