Must-Have: Candidates must have experience monitoring and circulating in cath lab and/or electrophysiology procedures.
Description:
The unit has 11 procedure rooms, including 5 cath, 4 EP, and 2 hybrid OR.
Patient-to-staff ratio is 1 patient to 3 staff members.
Staffing includes cath/EP techs and cath/EP RNs.
Technical equipment includes GE and Philips x-ray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, and Merge Hemo.
Documentation is managed through Merge Hemo and Meditech.
The unit has a floating policy that only allows floating to prep and recovery areas.
Procedures performed on the unit include diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, rotoblator procedures, laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, and Pernumbra in the cath lab.
In the electrophysiology lab, EP studies, pacemaker insertions, ICDs, ablations (excluding cryo ablations), micra pacemakers, loop recorders, and lead extractions (including laser lead extractions) are conducted.
The program is recognized as one of the top cardiac programs in the area.
It offers a range of cardiac modalities except for transplantation.
