Travel Nurse RN - Electrophysiology Lab - $2,564 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must be comfortable providing conscious sedation during procedures. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. There is a late team and a secondary late team. One day is designated as "1st Late" and another as "2nd Late." 1st Late is the team that completes the last case of the day. They will ensure the patient is transferred to the next level of care. 2nd Late is the secondary team that helps close out the second to last patient. All team members will receive at least one 1st Late and one 2nd Late shift per week. Travelers will be assigned additional shifts to fill scheduling gaps. If there is a smaller case load and rooms end early, travelers may be asked to stay. Overtime is not expected but could occur. Required skills include electrophysiology, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and various procedures such as cardiac ablation and pacemaker insertion. Candidates should be skilled in accurate monitoring and equipment setup. The average daily census is 15 cases. Staffing and scheduling will involve collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Special procedures include various types of ablations and lead extractions. Familiarity with special equipment is necessary. All staff may be required to work during disasters or mass casualty events. Travelers must be open to floating within the facility as needed. References may be pending at submission.
