Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Average daily census of 15 cases. Rotating late team assignments each week to support end-of-day case completion and patient transfers.
Highlights:
Electrophysiology lab specializing in cardiac ablations (VT, PVI, CV, A-Flutter, AV Node), ICD/pacemaker placement and exchanges, laser lead extraction, and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO)
Advanced equipment including PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, and Cardio Lab systems
Epic documentation system with CUPID module for cardiac procedures
Comprehensive 30-hour orientation program with interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
Scrubs provided by facility
Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a high-acuity procedural environment
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of Electrophysiology Lab nursing experience required
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact State license)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCI RCES or CCI RCIS preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Must be proficient in conscious sedation administration and monitoring during procedures
Strong skills in arrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac mapping, ablation procedures, pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming
Experience with both scrub and circulating roles, maintaining sterile technique and sterile field
Competency in EKG lead placement, IV initiation and maintenance, equipment setup, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Willingness to work storm team/hurricane team assignments and respond during catastrophic events or disasters as required
