Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Valid Compact or State License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Electrophysiology Lab - Skills in Electrophysiology Special Procedures Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Electrophysiology Lab. The shift is 4x10 days, from 07:00 to 17:30. The nurse will be required to take call one week every two months. 2 years of experience is required for this position. Candidates should possess experience with the following procedures: - Cardiac Implant Closure Device - Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal - Arrhythmia Induction - Baseline Measurements - Cardiac Ablation - Cardiac Mapping - Cardioversion - Conduction Studies - Insertion/Programming of AICDs - Left Atrial Appendage Closure - Pacemaker Insertion The unit treats a patient population that includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 22 patients. There are 6 rooms and 6 beds in the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. References from two professional sources are required, with at least one reference from a leadership position. Travelers who have been away from the facility for 6 months or longer may be eligible for assignments. Education must be from an accredited program. Candidates must be proactive, cooperative, and responsive during the credentialing process.
