Job Title: Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday with on-call Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Electrophysiology and Cath Lab required License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in Electrophysiology and Cath Lab, with call coverage required Description: The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse assists physicians with specialized procedures under sterile technique in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The nurse prepares the examination area and positions patients for procedures. They operate complex radiology equipment according to established techniques and routines. The nurse assists physicians as needed by providing materials and taking exposures as directed. They demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care across various age groups. The role includes circulating and recording cardiac cases. Scrubbing is not required for this position. Call coverage is required during weekends and holidays, with a rotational call schedule. The ability to float between Electrophysiology and Cath Lab is necessary. The work environment includes three procedure rooms with an average of three to four cases per day in each room. Interpersonal skills are important for effectively interacting with patients and the healthcare team.
