Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Carlinville, Illinois. This role offers an opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, serving a diverse patient population presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, initiating life-saving interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage complex cases efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient needs based on presenting symptoms, medical history, and diagnostic findings.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and document patient responses to interventions.
- Initiate and manage life-saving interventions for critically ill or injured patients, including advanced cardiac life support.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide thorough patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Shift Details
