Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in a Family Centered Care unit in Canton, Georgia. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, emphasizing couplet care within a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the health and well-being of both mother and baby, providing essential education to new parents, and facilitating a smooth transition for families during their hospital stay. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mother Baby RN to contribute to a patient-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert postpartum couplet care, including maternal and neonatal assessments.
• Educate new parents on newborn care, feeding techniques (breastfeeding and bottle-feeding), and maternal recovery.
• Monitor vital signs and assess for potential complications in both mother and baby.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with initial newborn screenings and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience within a Mother Baby or Postpartum specialty.

Preferred Qualifications

• IV Start experience.

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
