Job Title: Emergency Department Travel RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care Emergency Department License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year current acute care Emergency Department RN experience Candidates must possess the required certifications Description: We are seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The Emergency Department consists of 18 beds and 14 staff members. Staffing includes 2 RNs on day shift and 2 RNs on night shift. Patient ratios vary depending on acuity, typically 4:1. Common equipment used includes LifePak, Lucus, Philips, GE. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include IV placement, EKG, foley insertion, splint application, wound infiltration, wound care, medication administration, and patient assessments. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, be teamwork oriented, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The unit has increased resources such as respiratory therapy, house supervision, and support staff on medical/surgical and ICU floors. Full lab and radiology services are available on-site, including CT, MRI, Echo, x-ray, and ultrasound. This position offers the opportunity to work in a newly converted emergency department with access to advanced resources and technology.
