Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Texas RN licensure or compact license eligible Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, SAMA, CPI, or equivalent. If the nurse does not have this, we will assist in providing it and allow a 30-day grace period. The emergency department has 38 beds, including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area. The number of staff is variable according to volume and acuity, but there is always a charge nurse available. Patient ratios are variable depending on acuity and volume. Equipment includes standard emergency/trauma EMR. Skills most recruited for include advanced certifications and emergency care experience. Candidates with additional skills will be considered first. The preferred personality fit is someone easy-going, flexible, with a positive attitude and a patient-first philosophy. Self-scheduling is available. Weekend shifts are required.
