Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,673 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Certification, CPI Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - Decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as the primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across all disciplines. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Will be trained as a relief Charge Nurse in the department. Will also provide Critical Response support to other departments. Unit provides 24/7 emergency care for adult and pediatric acute injuries and life-threatening conditions. Patients requiring a higher level of care are stabilized and transferred accordingly. Familiarity with Compass/Cerner EHR is beneficial. Navy blue scrubs are standard attire.
