We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery for a 12-week contract assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is based at a prominent healthcare facility, providing critical care to expectant mothers and newborns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery phases. This includes monitoring and managing high-risk pregnancies involving conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated L&D RN to contribute to a dynamic team, utilizing their expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding environment from late September to mid-December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to pregnant individuals during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, identifying and responding to changes in patient status.
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist physicians during procedures.
Manage care for patients with high-risk conditions including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor.
Educate patients and families on various aspects of labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Accurately document patient information and care in the electronic medical record system.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience in Labor & Delivery.

Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification.
