Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,738 per week in Fredericksburg, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years recent Emergency Department experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: TNCC required. Unit consists of 11 beds. Staff includes 28 personnel. Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 AM RN, 1 RN, and 1 PCT. Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 PM RN, 1 RN, and 1 PCT. Patient ratios are 1:2-3. Typical equipment includes Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. EMR used is Meditech Expanse. Typical procedures performed include STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, Intubation, Laceration repair, Antivenom infusion, and orthopedic splinting. Ideal candidates should be friendly, honest, flexible, capable of multitasking, compassionate, able to work well with others, possess a sense of urgency when needed, and exhibit superb critical thinking skills. Every other weekend required, with no on-call responsibilities.
