Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years of recent experience License: RN License required (WV or Compact License) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: Rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support skills. Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work 36 hours weekly, with shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or potentially 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, including weekend rotations. Candidates must have 1-2 years of recent Emergency Room experience. First-time travelers will not be considered. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (preferred). The nurse should be skilled in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support in various medical conditions. Expertise in IV access and other interventions is essential. The unit supports a diverse patient population, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Patient ratios are typically 3:1. Weekend coverage is required. Required skills include effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure situations. Candidates must have references from a minimum of two managers or charge nurses within the past two years.
