Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in the Emergency Room/Emergency Department for a rewarding travel assignment in Brownsville, TX. Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED- Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
- Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion
- Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response
- Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
- Prepare and coordinate transport for higher levels of care
- Conduct triage assessment and prioritize based on ESI guidelines
- Implement isolation and infection control protocols
- Document and reassess in fast-paced environments
Requirements of the RN - ER/ED- Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
- Strong triage and critical thinking skills
- Experience in trauma and cardiac alerts, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
