ER Registered Nurse (RN) – Level II Trauma

Location: Bismarck (58501)
Pay: $2,000/week
Shift: 12-Hour Nights | Varied Start Times
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) | First to Float
Duration: 13 Weeks (extension possible)

✨ Join a High-Volume Emergency Department

We’re hiring an experienced ER RN to join a Level II Trauma Center handling 50–60 patients per day. This is a fast-paced environment with a wide range of cases from pediatrics to geriatrics, offering strong clinical exposure.

Required Certifications
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC – Required
Unit Overview
  • Trauma Level: II
  • Beds: 21 (including Fast Track)
  • Patient Volume: 50–60/day
  • Acuity: Mostly ESI Level 3, some Level 4, rare Level 1
  • Ratios: 1:3–4 (up to 1:5 depending on acuity/boarding)
  • EMR: (facility-based)
What You’ll Do
  • Provide emergency care for diverse patient populations (peds–geriatrics)
  • Manage cases including:
    • Trauma, Stroke, STEMI
    • Respiratory distress, abdominal pain, critical transfers
  • Administer and titrate critical drips:
    • Vasopressors, heparin, antiarrhythmics
  • Perform:
    • IV starts & lab draws
    • Cardiac monitoring & rhythm interpretation
  • Care for ICU-level holds (1:1 when required)
  • Collaborate with MD-only coverage (24/7 physician presence)
  • Support patient flow in:
    • Fast Track / Vertical Flow areas
    • Triage (after competency, if applicable)

  • Floating: Rare (task/helping role if needed)
  • Scheduling: Manager-driven (block scheduling may be considered)

  • 1–2 shifts in ER
