Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS before starting date BLS before starting date PALS before starting date TNCC before starting date CPI before starting date NIHSS before starting date ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high-volume emergency department. Previous experience in HCA preferred. At least 1 year of experience in an emergency setting. Teamwork mentality. Ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department. Description: Emergency Department with a total of 101 beds. Patient ratios typically at 4:1, up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Techs available to work in cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area, including triage. Unit clerks available during days and nights. Type of equipment includes baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation system used is Cerner. Scheduling requires working every other weekend with flexibility to meet department needs. No floating outside of the emergency department, but must be open to floating within the emergency department. Patient experience requirements include AIDET and respectful behavior. Commitment to providing updated information on boards throughout each patient visit. This department is recognized for teamwork and welcoming personalities.
