Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,822 per week in Cartersville, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience in acute psychosis management - Ability to care for ventilated patients - Familiarity with central line care and management - Knowledge of continuous IV sedation - Experience with drug overdoses - Skills in interpreting dysrhythmias - Experience in managing neuro-trauma and psychiatric holds - Competence in triage and managing violent behavior Description: Unit operates as an emergency department. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Floating within facility/scope of practice may be needed. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. If compliance is not achieved, start may be delayed by two weeks. Travelers are expected to work during major holidays. Holidays falling in the assignment period may require working two of them if three are involved. The patient ratio is 4 patients per nurse during all shifts. Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy and service teams. The unit caters to patients of all age groups. Travel pairs cannot be accommodated. All onboarding documents must be completed in a timely manner. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. Compliance with holiday scheduling rules is essential. Modules during orientation will vary by specialty.
