Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience required. License: Valid RN license in the state or multi-state/compact RN license is required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS certification is also required. CPI and TNCC certifications are preferred. Must-Have: Epic experience is required. Description: This position is for an Emergency Room RN. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Ratios are based on patient acuity. The nurse is required to work every other weekend. Floating between like units may be necessary to meet the needs of the facility and department. First-time travelers are accepted, provided they have emergency room experience. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers must ensure they do not confirm a new or extended assignment during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. The position requires the management of various emergency scenarios and procedures, including care of ventilated patients, blood product administration, and triage. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and be capable of handling a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from multiple specialties including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. This role demands critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
