Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of emergency room experience required First-time travelers accepted with emergency room experience License: Must possess SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license Certifications: Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS Preferred: CPI, TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work night shifts, 3x12 hours. The nurse will be responsible for patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Ratios will be based on patient acuity. The nurse is expected to work every other weekend. Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room settings. Candidates are required to have BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS certification is also required, with CPI and TNCC as preferred. Candidates must have Epic experience. The role will require a variety of nursing skills, including but not limited to blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. The Emergency Room caters to neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The average number of visits per day is approximately 130. The facility consists of 37 patient rooms and beds. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The emergency room operates with varied patient diagnoses and special procedures as needed. Candidates should be prepared for potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
