Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Registered Nurse License (State of Alabama or Compact license) Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, TNCC, Secure on Site, NIH Must-Have: - Willingness to float to other units and facilities - Trauma experience required - Experience in a large hospital setting Description: Emergency Department Registered Nurse must be willing to float to other units and facilities. Shifts are available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays as required and every other weekend will be part of the schedule. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups. It is staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet the community's needs. The team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff. The Emergency Department treats a significant volume of patients per year. The nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3–4 for all other patients. Education requires an Associate degree in nursing. 2 years of experience working under the highest level of professional license is essential. Must have trauma experience in a large hospital setting. Solid navy scrub colors are required. This position is clinical and patient-facing. The electronic medical record for the facility is Meditech.
