Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Rapidly assess and triage patients with a wide range of acute conditions
- Administer medications, IVs, and emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and support staff in high-pressure situations
- Monitor and document changes in patient conditions using EHR systems
- Assist in trauma care, code situations, and critical patient stabilization
- Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and accurate records
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active RN license (Kansas or compact eligible)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical skills in emergency and trauma care
- Ability to remain calm and focused in rapidly changing environments
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts
