Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,856 per week in Thornton, CO

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Colorado

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, Emergency Department with 40 beds serving approximately 145 patients daily, 4:1 patient ratio

Highlights:

• Level 1 and Level 2 trauma activation experience with comprehensive emergency care including stroke protocols, sepsis interventions, and procedural sedation
• Collaborative team environment with approximately 110 department staff including RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, and support personnel
• Advanced emergency department equipped with IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont rapid infusers, Lifepack monitors, and GE transport monitors
• EMR system: Meditech
• Diverse case mix including rapid triage assessment (ESI), trauma activations, behavioral health crisis intervention, pediatric emergency care, and mass casualty incident (MCI) response
• Opportunity to perform critical procedures including blood administration, defibrillation, and procedural sedation support

Requirements:

• Active Colorado RN license or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1-2 years of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• CPI Blue card certification required
• Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience strongly preferred
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
