Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required.
Previous travel experience preferred.
License:
Any active state RN or compact license accepted.
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required.
Must-Have:
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently.
Strongly preferred previous charge experience.
Description:
This position requires the candidate to have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility.
The role involves working 3x12 hour shifts during the day, with every other weekend and holiday required.
The Emergency Department features 96 inpatient beds and multiple operating and procedure rooms.
Daily visits in the department average around 122.
Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The responsibilities include a variety of emergency care skills such as managing acute psychosis, drug overdoses, and traumatic injuries.
The role also requires the ability to manage ventilated patients, perform intubation, and administer emergency medications.
Candidates must be capable of managing violent behavior and various mental/behavioral health conditions.
Experience with interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases is essential.
Monitoring and care of patients in a trauma setting is expected.
Delivering both procedural sedation and care for patients in cases of mental/behavioral health is required.
The candidate should demonstrate capabilities in triaging patients effectively.
The position entails teamwork with various interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Travelers may be required to float to different areas within the facility.
Attendance is critical, and multiple call-offs may result in termination.
Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage is mandatory.
