Candidates must have 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.
Description:
The unit has 27 beds and a staff of 50 RNs and 25 medics.
During the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics.
The staff increases by 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and by 1-2 RNs at 3 PM.
During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics.
Patient ratios are typically 4-6:1.
The unit utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records.
High acuity and fast-paced experience in emergency rooms is preferred.
Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 is a plus.
Typical procedures performed include:
RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psych patients, and transfers to other facilities.

Preferred additional certifications include ENPC, NRP, and NIHF.
There is no on-call requirement.
Weekend shifts consist of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period.
