Must-Have:
Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
No call required.
Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
Description:
Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit.
If clinically approved, candidates will be sent to the manager for a final decision.
Request time off (RTO) should be finalized at the time of submission.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
If not compliant in time, the start may be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Orientation hours are non-billable and determined by contract length.
Daily census for the unit is approximately 250 patients.
The unit services patients of all age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and more.
Patient diagnoses include but are not limited to telemetry competency exams and special procedures.
Special equipment used includes arctic sun and glucommander.
Compliance documents must be completed before starting.
Modules are completed during orientation and are recorded via transcripts.
