The facility is a 137-bed acute care hospital with Joint Commission Accreditation. The services offered include cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, and more. The position requires working with a diverse patient population, including all ages. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse should be a team player who thrives in a dynamic setting. Patient ratios in the department are 1:5. The department includes 21 beds, with a mix of telemetry and behavioral health beds. Experience in emergency medicine is preferred, and experience in a psychiatric emergency setting is a plus. Common diagnoses encountered include COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiac emergencies, and neurological emergencies. The dress code permits any color of scrubs, with specific restrictions on footwear and clothing types.
