Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,864 per week in Blacksburg, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Advanced skills needed: Nursing staff run labs that are ordered. Procedures performed on unit include: applying OCLs, breathing treatments, and conscious sedation. NRP preferred but not required. Description: The emergency department has 11 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staffing includes 2 day shift nurses, 2 mid-shift nurses, and 2 night shift nurses. Type of equipment includes POC lab model, EKG, ventilator, pumps, glucometer, and cardiac monitors. The documentation system used is Meditech. Three 12-hour shifts per week and four 12-hour weekend shifts per month are required. Floating policy is not applicable. Patient experience requirement is 80% or above. Successful candidates will enjoy working with experienced staff and have options for scheduling flexibility. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
