Weekend coverage required - Every other weekend, subject to change based on need. Medication System: Omnicell. Documentation System: EPIC. Must have 1 year of EPIC experience. Requesting at least 1 year of experience in the ER field. First-time travelers will be reviewed based on skill and experience. Floating to other units may be required based on need. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 130 patients per day. Number of beds in the unit is 44. Responsibilities include managing various acute conditions such as abdominal pain, asthma, and gunshot wounds. Must be able to perform procedures like intubation, central line care, and chest tube management. Experience in mental/behavioral health conditions and stroke care is expected. Looking for candidates with skills in managing ventilated patients and IV medication administration. Interdisciplinary support available from respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams. Staff must be qualified to float to other units and perform tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
