Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2+ years of ER experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care Description: Shifts are during the day from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:3.5 is required. Knowledge of EPIC documentation is preferred. Float requirements include coverage every other or every third weekend. First-time travelers are accepted. A valid RN license is required for submission. Candidates must possess the listed certifications. Skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, emergency medications, and triage are essential. There is a need for a candidate who has experience in maintaining IVs and interpreting dysrhythmias. Candidates should be familiar with procedures such as obtaining a 12-lead EKG and administering procedural sedation. Ideal candidates will have patient care experience across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Strong interdisciplinary support is available within the department. Qualified applicants must provide two professional references. Immediate compliance with credentialing processes is necessary for all candidates. Candidates must complete any required credentialing steps promptly after acceptance of the position. All candidates must meet applicable requirements to participate in the hiring process.
