Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced emergency department. The unit has a total of 24 beds, including 5 fast track beds. The nursing staff varies based on the time of day and patient volume. During the day shift, there is typically 1 charge nurse and 4-9 nurses. Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 9-4 nurses, adjusting for arrivals. The department utilizes techs and paramedics to support patient care. Patient ratios are generally maintained at 4:1. The EMR system used is Meditech. All shifts are variable, with times depending on the needs of the department. Ideal candidates should be hard workers, possess critical thinking skills, and have an outgoing personality. There is no floating to other areas required for this position. The dress code requires navy scrubs. Weekend shifts may be necessary on an every-other-weekend basis, but there is no on-call requirement.
