Job Title: Travel RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Minimum License: Active Compact License Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - ACLS - PALS - BLS Description: Travel RN in the Emergency Department. 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Unit has 34-44 beds with approximately 44,000 visits a year. Staff includes Charge Nurses, Triage Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Paramedics. Patient ratios are 1:4. Typical types of equipment include EKG, Lucas, Cardiac Monitors, Dynamap, POC, and IStat. EMR system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include Stroke Protocol, Sepsis Protocol, Trauma Protocol, Triage, IV initiation, and Moderate Sedation. Candidates with additional skills such as TNCC or CEN will be prioritized. Ideal candidates are positive, outgoing, hardworking, and value teamwork. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
