Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency department - Experience with Cerner charting system - Experience with combined adult and pediatric care Description: Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Orientation is conducted every Monday. The position requires working three 12-hour night shifts. Patient ratio is 1:4-6. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with six weekend shifts in each six-week schedule. The candidate must possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Experience in managing a variety of conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and respiratory infections is necessary. Skills in administering emergency medications and managing trauma cases are required. The ideal candidate will have completed at least one travel assignment. Clinical responsibilities include monitoring patients, obtaining and interpreting 12 lead ECGs, and managing ventilated patients. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census is expected to be approximately 120 patients. The unit has 30 rooms and 44 beds. Interdisciplinary support services will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The candidate must be comfortable working in a high-stress environment with a diverse patient population. Candidates will undergo a clinical review and must meet compliance requirements upon hiring.
