- 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, inpatient only
- Must have trauma experience
Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for various age groups.
Conducts assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Ensures patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld.
Performs duties in alignment with mission, values, and service standards.
Must be able to stand and walk for most of the duty period.
Meets unit-specific physical demands.
Involves significant bending, stooping, and lifting with assistance.
May require different schedules and shifts per patient care requirements.
Involves high risks of exposure to blood and body fluids.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling.
Utilizes the nursing process for patient care post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by others.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with various departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality consistently.
Performs responsibilities in a manner aligned with the mission, values, and service standards.
