TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Harvey, Illinois, 60426!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in an urban, Level I Trauma ED License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED. Description: Position available for an RN in the Emergency Room. Patient ratios are 1:4. Must have prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. First-timers are accepted. Every other weekend is required. Floating between units may be required. Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Certifications preferred include TNCC and CPI. Must have proficiency in the Epic charting system. Skills required include management of abdominal pain and acute psychosis. Experience with arterial line management, asthma, and BiPAP/CPAP management is necessary. Ability to administer blood products and manage burns is essential. Experience caring for ventilated patients, administering IV paralytics and sedation is required. Must be able to perform intubation and monitor patients with CVA. Additional skills include handling drug overdoses and emergency medications. Experience with traumatic conditions, such as gunshot wounds and spinal cord injuries, is needed. Triage experience is crucial. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The department handles a daily census of approximately 120 visits. The unit comprises of 34 rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services. Experience with various patient diagnoses is required. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced emergency environment.
