Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,990 per week in Charlottesville, VA

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required. - Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility, including some pediatric experience. License: - Pending licenses accepted, must be in hand before the start date. Certifications: - ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required. - TNCC can be submitted pending but must be obtained before starting. Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience is required. - Must be able to float within their scope of practice as needed. Description: The role involves working in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Candidates will be responsible for providing direct patient care and triaging patients as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts are required based on staffing needs. Scheduled days will vary according to unit needs. Experience with pediatric patients is necessary, although it does not have to be from a dedicated pediatric emergency room. Candidates will provide care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 4 to 5 patients. Additional interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy and respiratory services. Travelers must adhere to facility policies, including a maximum of 40 hours of time off for the contract duration. The candidate must disclose any vacations planned between the sign date and start date. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a high-demand environment.
