Schedule: 13-week contract, 12-hour shifts (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM), rotating weekends, no call requiredHighlights:- High-volume Level I trauma-capable emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds- Patient ratios: 1:4 general ED, 1:3 cardiac/trauma, 1:5 behavioral health- Work with a collaborative team of 111+ staff members including charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs across rotating shifts- Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac emergencies, behavioral health, rapid infusion therapy, and resuscitation- EMR system: MEDITECH- Active unit-based council and social committee fostering strong team cultureRequirements:- Current Texas RN license or compact state license- BLS, ACLS, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certifications required- NIHSS certification required- Emergency department experience required; trauma and inpatient holding experience preferred- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred- MEDITECH experience preferred- Strong multitasking abilities, self-starter, and team-oriented approachWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, well-equipped emergency department where you'll handle diverse and complex cases including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and behavioral health.
