Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,001 per week in Salem, VA

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Virginia

Schedule: Day and night shifts available in a 27-bed Emergency Department. Day shift includes one charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics, with staffing increases at 11am and 3pm. Night shift includes one charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics. Weekend requirement includes four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) per four-week scheduling period. No on-call required.

Highlights:

• Patient ratios typically 4:1 to 6:1 in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency environment
• Exposure to diverse procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, and psychiatric patient care
• EMR system: Meditech
• No floating to other units
• 13-week contract assignment with potential for extension
• Scrub attire: navy blue or white

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state license
• Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience with high-acuity ERs and patient ratios of 5:1 strongly preferred
