Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room.
The average daily census includes a diverse patient age group: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Staffing ratios are 1:4-5 on all shifts.
The nurse will care for patients presenting with various complaints, including chest pain, shortness of breath, mental health evaluations, OB/GYN emergencies, surgical issues, and trauma.
The unit consists of 27 beds and operates in a rural environment.
The facility is a primary stroke center and is seeking trauma designation.
There is a dedicated room for sexual assault nurse examiners.
The emergency team includes board-certified providers, charge nurses, triage nurses, and supervisory staff available 24/7.
Two designated resuscitation rooms are available, as well as four dedicated rooms preferred for mental health assessments.
The nurse will also engage in advanced procedures, such as IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and management of ventilated patients.
All emergency department staff must have experience in adult and pediatric care.
Every other weekend is required for scheduling.
Medication administration should follow charting protocols using Epic.
Candidates must demonstrate competencies in various emergency procedures and patient management.
Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC is mandatory.
A thorough understanding of isolation precautions and triage responsibilities is essential.
