Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Emergency Department experience required License: Michigan State License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: ENPC accepted in place of PALS Description: Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Recognizes that each patient is a unique individual. Ensures that each patient has the right to quality nursing care. Facilitates mutual goal setting between the Registered Nurse and the patient. Assures patient rights and privacy are protected. Holds accountability to ethical and professional standards defined in the ANA Code for Nurses. Adheres to the ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement. Complies with the State Public Health code and the ANA and Specialty Nursing Standards of Clinical Practice. Recognizes and responsibly accepts individual actions and judgments in nursing practice.
